Dear Roadtripsforgardeners,
Thanks you for your post, When you want to showcase a particular flower, especially a trailing annual, what do you do? You generally place it close to where you or visitors will see it, on a porch, your deck or near a walkway. An even better idea is to place it up at eye level. This will allow its beauty to meet the eye, its scent to reach the nose and trail down to where it can be touched easily with the hands.

The date of the fall orchid show has been changed to October 15 and 16, 2011. The Illinois Orchid Society’s Fabulous Fall Orchid show will be in the Greenhouse Galleries of the Chicago Botanic Garden from 10 to 5 on Saturday Oct 15 and Sunday October 16. The show is free. Parking is $20 for those who are not members of the Chicago Botanic Garden. (Submitted by IOS Home Show Chair)

Washington, Iowa played Tulip Time this year. They had a color guard, and a band. They were really good. They did a great job!!
