georgia_roswell_azaleaIt’s taking place right now, Road Trips Gardeners, so if you’re in Georgia — consider a stop at the Azalea Festival. It started last Saturday and runs through April 20, 2015, throughout Roswell, Georgia.

Organizers note that the azalea is a heat and drought tolerant plant native to the state. One good place to see them is along the woodland trails of the Chattahoochee Nature Center.

This weekend (April 18 an 19), artist Joan Hilliard will host an art signing at The Chandlery featuring a painting created for the Azalea Festival with a portion of proceeds benefitting The Cottage School.
