colorado_denver_botanic-gardenRegistration opens at noon tomorrow (July 12, 2014) for the 2014 Conference of the American Society of Botanical Artists.

It will be held October 16 through 18, 2014, in the Westin Denver Downtown, 1672 Lawrence Street, Denver, Colorado, and at the Denver Botanic Garden (pictured), 1007 York Street, Denver, Colorado.

Sessions include a watercolor roundup, drawing in graphite, juror training and the story of vellum (you can see that it’s for botanical artists, not gardeners).

Of special interest to this Road Trips Gardener, however, is a wildflower forum on rare plants of Colorado presented by Susan Spackman Panjabi, a botanist with the Colorado Natural Heritage Program at Colorado State University.
