england_windsor_legoHow about this, Road Trips Gardeners: a wildlife garden built entirely of LEGOs.

You’ll have to take a jaunt across the pond to see it, though. It’s a project of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, Winkfield Road, Windsor, Berkshire, England.

The resort has joined forces with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds to create the garden featuring habitats made entirely from LEGO bricks.

Yup. The resort’s model makers have created from thousands of individual bricks a frogitat, a series of hogitats (hedgehog houses) plus a bird bath and bat box, all situated in landscaped greenery complete with a pond, life-sized LEGO creatures and even a human birdwatcher.

A wealth of wildlife already resides on the Resort’s 150 acres and the hope is to attract new species to the special garden area.

The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is open now through November 3, 2014. Caution: It is closed on selected midweek days in September, October and November.
