Flower of the Day: Zinnia

The unseasonably warm spring in most of the United States has made this Road Trips Gardener think about the flowers of summer.

Zinnias have long been a favorite (they’re easy enough for a child to grow).

These blooms were captured by our photographer outside the Mara Serena Lodge in Kenya. That’s right: there’s more than animals in Africa.
