Thinking of visiting New England next February, Road Trips Gardeners? Consider swinging by the Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, Connecticut for the 31st annual Flower & Garden Show.

This year’s show, “Traditions of Nature”, takes place February 23 through 26, 2012. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. February 23-25, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. February 26.

Landscape exhibits ranging from 300 to 2,000 square feet will occupy the 45,000 square feet of the Exhibit Hall. In addition to some 250 booths filled with plants, soils, fertilizers, garden tools, other floral and garden related products and services, the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut will be staging their Standard Flower Show. You can see more than 12,000 square feet of competitive design and horticultural exhibits.

Besides, since you’re driving, bring along a 1/2 cup of your garden soil for free testing at the University of Connecticut Co-op booth.
