There’s nothing quite like the scent of lavender, and here’s a new way to experience it, Road Trips Gardeners: visit Merritt Lavender Farm, 8745 McTimmons Lane, Bandon, Oregon.

Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. June through September, you can stroll through their lavender labyrinth garden.

Of course, they also sell all sorts of things lavender. Fresh lavender is harvested from July through September.

The organic farm began in 2004 with 600 lavender plants potted up. There are now 1000 plants representing eight varieties: Provence, Dutch, Super French, Grosso, Viridis yellow, Madrid pink, Willowbridge white and Spanish purple.

  • Hi Ellen, Thanks for the Merritt Lavender Farm piece. There are now actually 1000 lavender plants at our farm (not 100 as noted). Thanks in advance for the correction. I look forward to meeting you one day at the farm 🙂
