Is there anything more heavenly than the scent of a field of lavender? Here’s one place to find out for yourselves, Road Trips Gardeners.

For nearly 10 years, Tom and Madeline Wajda have opened their historic farm near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on Father’s Day Weekend and invited thousands to explore their senses at the Lavender Festival.

This year’s festival, June 17 through 19, 2011, features 75 varieties of lavender, three of which are exclusive to the Wajda’s Willow Pond Farm, 145 Tract Road, Fairfield, Pa. The farm is certified organic and includes three acres of lavender. There’s food, music, garden tours, culinary presentations and a chance to pick your own lavender (and other herbs).
