Spring Garden Show on Isle of Wight

Submitted by on April 15, 2011 – 12:27 amNo Comment

A spring garden show will be held April 23 through 25, 2011, in Robin Hill Adventure Park & Gardens on the Isle of Wight, England. Road Trips Gardeners headed across the pond will be able to see the work not only of gardeners on the Isle of Wight, but also leading Royal Horticultural Society mainland nurseries.

Set in around eight acres of woodland, the event will showcase 20 RHS accredited nurseries in the Wightlink Floral Marquee, as well as local and regional produce and country crafts. As a bonus, there’ll be a food theater with demonstrations and competitions, including ‘Island Inspiration Master Chef’.

Your Road Trips Gardener is especially intrigued by the falconry shows scheduled plus the Isle of Wight Chainsaw Carve-Off.

Wightlink has inclusive travel and entry day-return tickets available starting at £55, which are valid for a car and up to four passengers traveling from Portsmouth or Lymington to the Isle of Wight. Want to stay longer? Three-night self-catering accommodations at Gotten Manor costs from £85 per person (based on four sharing), including return car ferry crossings from Portsmouth or Lymington.
