Mums and Pumpkins in Peoria

The annual Chrysanthemum Show is now underway in Luthy Botanical Garden, 2218 North Prospect, Peoria, Illinois (part of the Peoria Park District). It continues through November 7, 2010.

Theme this year is “The Great Pumpkin”- and kids can have their pictures taken with the big fellow. And, Road Trips Gardeners, there will be hundreds of mums.

Regular Conservatory admission applies ($2 for adults age 13 and up –children 12 and under are admitted free). There is no admission charge to visit the Garden Shop, which will have selected merchandise marked down during this event.

The Conservatory and Garden Shop are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, and closed on Mondays.
